Job Description
In consultation with CMLPO, to provide support and direction for in- CB business Anti-Money Laundering (AML) effort.
Drive, coordinate and monitor initiatives and actions to ensure the Bank operates in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations, policies and standards, for the prevention of money laundering.
Key Roles Responsibilities
1. Through CMLPO, assist CB business management to ensure internal resources, systems, procedures and controls are in place, documented and operating effectively to prevent and mitigate money laundering risk.
2. Provide support to CB business in complying with new and changing AML regulations, as well as relevant Bank policies and standards.
3. Lead and coordinate implementation of CB business level programmes and initiatives to enhance AML awareness and effort.
4. Manage, coordinate and deliver appropriate training programme to staff members and provide support of AML (and KYC) related controls in their day-to-day business activities.
5. Ensure AML regulations, policies and requirements are clearly communicated to staff members.
6. Ensure close working relationship with the UMLPOs and clear delineation of duties and responsibilities among various parties.
Qualifications Skills
- Strong working experience preferably in banking, financial or regulatory industry, with exposure in management position and AML or enforcement field;
- Proven track record of leading and succeeding in a key function of an organization, being responsible for its strategic direction, process and procedure development and control;
- Sound knowledge of applicable AML Laws and Regulations (China);
- Able to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure;
- Good communication, interpersonal and organization skills; and
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
