Business Application Manager, Non-Commercial
The Business Applications Manager is the primary functional application expert and analyst for the Non-Commercial areas (i.e. Supply Chain, etc) within the Business Process Technology (BPT) Department. The role acts as a liaison between the BPT team and the business functions. The key objective of the role is to deliver strategic business solutions and capabilities through the exploitation of the SAP applications, Cognos, TM1, Demand Solutions, Sharepoint and other technologies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES AND ACTIVITIES
- Work closely with the business and BPT teams to develop business requirements and to propose application solutions to meet customer needs and priorities
- Help to define improved platforms and applications for better supply chain planning and overall reporting solutions
- Provide pro-active insights and prototypes for potential solutions. Assess and determine best application solutions to meet customer needs.
- Manage outsourced developers for code development and configuration. Manage the complete cycle of application development.
- Develop, manage, and support project plans as required
- Develop appropriate scripts and scenarios for testing. Manage and perform system testing as needed.
- Coordinate and conduct user-acceptance testing
- Perform application-related training for new developments and changes
- Provide on-going project status and communication to all as required
- Manage and maintain application documentation
- Perform administration function around Cognos Business Intelligence platform in terms of working with consultants and managing Framework, Transformer, and Report Studio
- Pro-actively participate in external industry events/groups. Leverage best-practice knowledge to develop quality solutions
- Proactive in the ability to exploit and provide valuable insight into the technology and applications in order to deliver value to the business groups
- Ability to exploit technology and applications in order to provide better information and reporting solutions
- Excellent Project Management skills
- Strong ability to deliver high quality work on-time and within budget
- Strong analysis, communication, innovating, creating customer value, decision-making, and achieving results skillsets
- Bachelors degree required
- 3-5 yrs experience with SAP SD, MM, Portal
- Previous experience with delivering Supply Chain solutions
- Previous experience with the following applications is a plus:
- TM1
- Cognos
- Demand Solutions
- Sharepoint
- Crystal
