Business Architect – Investment Banking recruitment

The overall objective of the role is to maintain and own the overall target operating model to support business strategy, ensure that the Change the Bank book of work is aligned and that the business realises the benefits associated with the delivery of the agreed portfolio of change. The successful candidate will document and communicate the current COBAM operating model and to support design of the Target Operating Model that aligns with the COBAM Business Strategy

Purpose of the Role

• Work with HSBC’s Global banking and Markets team and the COBAM business to understand the strategy and requirements of the operating model

• Be accountable for documenting the current operating model of COBAM and maintaining an agreed set of artefacts that describe the business operation on an on-going basis  

• Work with the Technology Architect to ensure an aligned Current and Target technology Blueprint exists and that key stakeholders have bought into this

• Ensure new initiatives align to the target blueprint (people, process and technology) through engagement in the initiation process and through the set-up of on-going design governance 

• Create and maintain the roadmap in partnership with the Technology Architect

• Be part of the evaluation process for new initiatives, using structured methods to validate and value change  

Candidates will need the following skills and experience:

• Customer on-boarding, Account set-up and KYC operational experience

• Experience of designing and delivering current and target operating models and using TOM to design and deliver a route-map and set phases for projects

• Evidence of having delivered business strategy and engaged with senior stakeholders to get buy-in

• Comprehensive experience in CTB initiatives and full project life cycle

• Scenario-based requirements gathering.

• Working experience of project methodologies such as agile RUP

• Able to work as part of a team and independently under minimal supervision

• Good knowledge of Back-Office Operations

• Strong business requirements and functional analysis Data Analysis skills

• UML / Use Case Modelling
