Position Description:
SunGard's Aligne product suite provides comprehensive front-, middle- and back-office capabilities for commodity transactions to help users streamline operations and achieve greater control.
At SunGard we are looking for an experienced Business Consultant to provide our customers with on-site client services, primarily focused on the configuration and implementation of Aligne. Please note that this role can be based in London, Milan or Frankfurt.

Your responsibilities will include business process analysis and modelling, systems configuration, software enhancement design and documentation, software training, troubleshooting, solution documentation and issue management. In addition, the successful candidate will provide customers with an intelligent, professional service and facilitate project communication to all stakeholders.

Detailed responsibilities:
- Develop expertise covering the breadth of the energy industry including the power, gas, oil, and coal energy sectors
- Research customer business processes to establish project objectives and product solutions
- Communicate effectively with SunGard's support, QA and development departments
- Actively support project managers by focusing on project goals and keeping the team informed of progress, hurdles, risks and successes
- Become an expert in project execution; mastering implementation methodologies and showing the ability to work with all types of energy companies and level of customers
- Manage issues and enhancements by developing test cases, tracking resolution, analysing and troubleshooting (diagnostics)
- Continuously review process and product documentation and improve software expertise
- Identify and communicate services and product sales opportunities
- Participate in the on-going development of services initiatives seeking to make the group better, smarter, and faster than the competition

Position Requirements:
- Proven experience working within the Energy industry
- Gas scheduling experience (desirable)
- Analytical; experience working in a problem-solving environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in Business, Computer Science or related field
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Must display professionalism and confidence, demonstrating excellent customer service skills
- Solid organisational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills

We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter who is willing to travel significantly to client engagements (up to 80-100%)
