Business Consultant
Job description:
At Unisys, we assess, integrate and build business and information management services solutions for our clients and help them meeting their business requirements, increase their competitiveness and achieve their strategic goals.
The Business Consultant plays an essential role in understanding the business needs of our client and delivers high quality service to clients. We expect from you to be polyvalent enough to take a large professional exposure: to conduct business transformation projects (e.g. business process improvement), make recommendations on our clients’ business processes and organisations, in a client-facing role. IT awareness, in areas such as business or functional analysis, development methodologies (RUP), risk analysis, is considered an asset, as well as affinity with aspects of Project Management. As the job may involve projects that have big impact on the client’s business, you are able to operate with the required level of sensitivity towards procedures, people and political context.
You are an active and open communicator, participate in knowledge sharing with your colleagues, and are able to present your thoughts in a structured, synthetic and clear way, on paper, orally, and in client presentations and workshops.
Your responsibilities:
§ Participate in business transformation projects;
§ Perform desktop research, interviews and analysis workshops to understand the client’s business needs and translate these into requirements or proposed solutions;
§ Synthesize your recommendations in reports;
§ Participate in client meetings and/or workshops;
§ Work in multicultural and multi level environments; following adequate standards and methodologies.
Your skills and experience:
§ You have a Master degree in Economy, Social and Political Science or a Civil or Commercial Engineer degree;
§ You have sound experience and a strong interest in business process re-engineering, business modelling design (at least 1 year);
§ You are IT aware, with emphasis on analysis and you have knowledge of software development processes (RUP);
§ You have affinity with Project Management methodologies and processes;
§ You have gained experience in either public institutions, either in the private sector (Supply Chain Management, Process/Organisational Design in commercial industries) or in a large business consulting organisation;
§ You are an excellent communicator with a good sense of judgement in combination with strong tenacity and service-oriented skills;
§ You have excellent writing and presentation skills;
§ You are a highly energetic team player with a flexible, pragmatic and problem-solving attitude;
§ You are capable to integrate in an international/multi-cultural environment; you act as an outstanding team player and can work independently;
§ You are fluent in English and a perfect command of French; knowledge of any other EU official language is an asset.
