Business Continuity Manager – Sydney or Melbourne recruitment

Within each division we promote a variety of brands including Bridges Financial Services, Consultum, Wealth Managers, Ord Minnett, Spectrum Super, Pursuit, Perennial Investment Partners Limited, IOOF MultiMix, United and Australian Executor Trustees (AET).
We are currently searching for an experienced Business Continuity Manager based in either Sydney or Melbourne. Reporting to the Head of Risk, this role will be primarily responsible for implementing Business Continuity Management within the organisation, supporting all activities necessary to enable the firm to respond to a business interruption. The position will be hold key responsibility for leading and facilitating the development, maintenance and management of the company’s Business continuity (BCP) and Crisis Management Plans (CMP).
More specifically, duties will include:
- Maintaining and supporting IOOF’s Business Continuity framework.
- Development and maintenance of a corporate wide business continuity program that addresses disaster recovery (DR), business recovery and emergency response management
- Develop, produce and maintain BC guidelines to assist business unit managers to meet the company’s BCM requirements.
- Facilitate, coach and assist business units and senior management in development the required BCP/DR materials and documentation
- Plan and develop training/ awareness programme and periodic testing of the BCP
- Perform risk analyses for functional areas to identify points of vulnerability, single points of failure and identify risk avoidance and mitigation strategies
- Analyse and report on implications of regulatory requirements and industry guidance on BCP/DR programs
- Work closely with IT to facilitate the development and maintenance of disaster recovery plans for critical systems and applications and to ensure that internal recovery sites are updated and functioning properly.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 4-5 years actively developing and supporting business continuity programs
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance or IT
- Understanding of business and systems operations
- Familiarity with the current regulatory environment on BCP within Financial services e.g. ASA, APRA, ASIC
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in MS Office products (PowerPoint, Excel, etc)
- Ability to interact with all levels of the business
