Business Credit Risk Analyst / COO Group recruitment

Providing support to the EMEA Commodities COO team in managing credit risk for MLCE’s trading.

Key Tasks

-          Report directly to the MLCE Business Manager (JP) and assisting her in her daily tasks.

-          Key intermediary on the MLCE trading floor for all matters relating to credit (between Corporate Credit teams and FO).

-          Mitigate credit risk by ensuring that transaction exposure originated from physical and financial trading is fully collateralised against counterparties (through cash collateral, Letter of Credit, Parent Company Guarantee and Credit protection – CDS) in accordance with executed legal documentation.

-          Daily Current Credit Exposure valuation and analysis of variations from previous day (due to curve volatility, credit feed issues etc). Preparing the daily MLCE credit report sent to Senior Management and MLCE traders for them to have an overview of availability on lines, restrictions, authorised products.

-          Daily supervision of collateral management process for MLCE commodity business.

-          Transaction management: evaluate trade approval and relay to Corporate Credit when necessary.

-          Daily oversight of production control to ensure trading data is received accurately and timely. Ensuring reliability and consistency of credit exposures captured in systems.

-          Liaise with Ops, Product Controllers (MO), Legal and Front Office to resolve credit issues

-          Assist with the development and implementation of procedures to ensure the existence / improvement to financial controls.

-          Supervising the Upfront requirement’s management (Initial margin requested for the hedge fund activity originated by our London sale desks).

-          In-coming SBLC monitoring (done outside of collateral management / for waterborne activities) / Waterborne activity’s monitoring.

Performance Measures

-          Credit exposure management, up to date reporting, systems and information

-          Internal satisfaction, i.e. CCR, trading desks etc.

Experience

-          1- 3 years of Commodity / Energy industry experience in credit risk.

-          Min 2:1 degree in a numerical subject
