Business Design Consultant Intern

Job description ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE REGISTERED FULL TIME STUDENTS TO APPLY. Preferred Candidates will be in their Junior or Senior Year - this internship is for Summer 2012. This project will involve working with the BT/IT CIO team to develop, launch and operate a secure collaboration, feedback and information sharing environment to be used with key IBM Business Partners. This environment will facilitate solicitation and gathering of feedback from Partners for the design and deployment of the SalesConnect Opportunity Management application for Business Partners. Current vision would be to make extensive use of IBM social media tools available within IBM and available to Business Partners outside the IBM firewall. Will also incorporate capabilities for traditional conference call meetings and efficiently capturing discussions and key decisions made during those calls. Looking for a candidate with strong written and verbal communications skills, strong analytic skills related to the organization and analysis of feedback information and interest / expertise in using social media platforms and tools (blogs, forums, surveys, etc.) to stimulate information system design discussions and ultimately generate broad based system requirements specifications. Expectation is that the environment and collaboration processes established during this summer project will be used to gather critical Business Partner feedback throughout the 2012 - 2014 planning, development, testing and rollout phases of the SalesConnect project for Business Partners. Preferred candidates will be working toward a BS or MS in several different disciplines which would include Computer Science/IT discipline, Engineering, or Marketing.
