Business Design Lead

A Tier One Investment Bank requires a Business Design lead to work on one of their Reference Data programs . The programme being driven forward is a new Operating Model, Workflow and Database to store key attributes extracted from legal documents (e.g. ISDAs and CSAs).  A key driver for the program currently is to deliver mandatory attributes to enable optimised RWA modelling.  The wider group aims to establish single master databases (Golden Copies) for quality-controlled client and product data, migrating all departments to use this data, and implementing clear data ownership and governance.

 

Requirements

 

• Help define solution options and contribute to delivery.

• Initiate, gather and document requirements reviews with business stakeholders and colleagues within IT to facilitate subsequent sign off

• Create key project design documents to include end-to-end current/future business process flows, use cases, BRD/FRD’s, test packs / cases, cost/benefit analyses etc.

• Undertake detailed data analysis and profiling across various applications to understand the current state.

• Identify and document process changes and system enhancements.

• Ensure process improvement through redesign is at the forefront of all initiatives.

• Establish strong relationships with various functions and businesses throughout IB. 

Experience

 

Essential

• Track record in delivering major adoption/migration projects in an investment bank or similar institution

• Solid knowledge of IT, including experience of managing IT-oriented projects, user requirements development, and testing

• Good understanding of IT oriented methods and approaches

• Extremely strong organisational skills

• Excellent relationship and interpersonal skills

• Good knowledge of standard office software (e.g. Excel, Word) and SQ

 

Highly required

• Knowledge of Legal Agreement Data (e.g. ISDA, CSA or other legal agreements types)

• Knowledge of Reference Data

• Knowledge of Collateral Management processes

• Knowledge of CVA / DVA and Collateral Optimisation

• Knowledge of the banking regulatory environment
