Job Purpose
- This role is part of a team that will provide development resources to explore and create business opportunities in Asia that provides long-term, sustainable, and profitable growth, focusing on the full range of health and care opportunities that align to Bupa’s core competences.
Accountabilities and activities
- Provides and maintains comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge database and business intelligence across Asia region for development or market entry purpose, and drafts market and competitor reports.
- Develops financial models, projections and evaluate possible market entry and acquisition opportunities.
- Produces regular updates on projects and compelling presentations on research findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Selects, coordinates and manages external advisers that provide appropriate research, development, or transactional material.
- Liaises with business development colleagues within Bupa in transferring knowledge effectively among different operating units.
To be the qualified candidate, you should have
- Around 5 years of professional experience in market research or development, with exposures in regional development (start-ups, alliances, Joint-ventures or acquisition) or with the insurance or healthcare industry a definite plus.
- Excellent commercial acumen with strong analytical and presentation skills to construct concise business cases and planning documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, plus fluency in at least one of the regional languages (Chinese, Malay, Indonesian).
- Excellent Interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of internal and external constituents, stakeholders, audiences, and regulators.
- A self starter and able to work independently or in a multi-ethnic and multi cultural team environment.
- A minimum of an Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or Finance (MBA is a definite plus)
