Business Development Assistant (maternity cover)

Our client is one of the leading Asset Management houses in London and their reputation is outstanding in terms of performance of the funds year on year and the consistent growth of the team who are hugely loyal (they have an incredibly low turnover of staff and this is just one great reason to work for the firm).  They have a culture that is very supportive, sociable, patient whilst at the same time being dynamic and very competitive.  They interact very closely with their investors (private individuals, pension funds, wealth managers and charities) and this role is to work with the Head of Business Development.   You will be highly organised, articulate and proactive and be the main contact between the firm, the investors and third parties.

 

Providing information and responding to performance questions

Creating fund fact sheets using MS Publisher, PowerPoint, and Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS)

Preparation of RFP and other due diligence requirements

Administrative/secretarial support to for the Head of Business Development and Investment Director

First point of contact for investors – looking after existing investors and responds to their needs

Preparation of investor communications and presentations

Act as first port of call for information requests (link between investors and fund managers and/or external fund administrator)

Preparing monthly Factsheets and performance statistics

Preparing investor valuations and monthly, quarterly or annual portfolio performance returns

Updating master presentation monthly

Preparing bespoke presentations for individual meetings including investor specific information, valuations and statistics

Meticulously reviewing own and each other’s work to ensure accuracy and content quality

Working in collaboration with fund managers and compliance manager to prepare tailored company RFP template and RFPs for investor houses

Coordinating marketing events and activities

Updating company website

 

Skills required

Experience of working in the financial services sector, ideally asset management

Investor reporting experience is essential

Degree level or equivalent is essential

Investment management certificate or finance-related qualification is preferable
Excellent communication skills and professional business language and conduct

Articulate and polite telephone manner

Highly organised with good administrative skills

Ideally experienced in investor relations

Excellent IT skills – essential to have excellent MS Office; desirable to have used Publisher, Lipper

Collaborative working

High level of attention to detail
