As the Business Development Capture Manager for Amazon Web Services (AWS) focusing on the U.S. Federal Government, State and Local Government, and Education markets within public sector, you will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mindshare and broad use of Amazon?s utility computing web services (Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon SimpleDB, Amazon RDS and other AWS services). Your broad responsibilities will include working with the internal AWS Public Sector team to develop and oversee bid strategies, pricing, teaming, and proposal strategies and help with written proposals for RFI/RFQ/RFP/BAA for the global public sector. The Capture Manager will be work with the AWS field close business at a rapid rate across the public sector. The ideal candidate will possess prior capture management and systems integrator experience supporting innovative technical solutions identifying and responding to RFx opportunities. The candidate will posses industry background that enables them develop win themes and technical discriminators and ability to communicate effectively with technical leaders, software developers, architects and business leaders. He/she needs demonstrated ability to think strategically about the mission, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions. The candidate must know US Government acquisition guidelines and have experience with Federal RFx compliance requirements. Serve as a key member of the AWS Global Public Sector team identifying and responding to RFx?s opportunities. Identify, manage and execute the RFx proposal response plan while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g. sales teams, service teams, legal, support, etc.). Develop win themes, technical discriminators, and innovative strategies working with AWS stakeholders specific to RFx opportunities. Understand and navigate US Federal and State government contracting vehicles and procedures.
