Business Development, Cash Management – US FI Team recruitment
The Cash Management Group in San Francisco manages a suite of products that includes predominately Securities Lending cash collateral, sweep activity and Separate Accounts. BlackRock's cash management style is designed to meet each client's objectives of capital preservation, liquidity and yield - in that order. The basis of successful investment performance is research and analysis of sectors and securities. This philosophy is supported by careful analysis of credit, interest rate trends, and relative value opportunities which ultimately produce exceptional investment returns on a risk adjusted basis.
This is an opportunity to work with BlackRock's Cash Securities Lending Group as a member of the US Financial Institutions Team. The team is tasked with distribution of BlackRock's world class cash management capabilities through a variety of financial intermediaries including banks and broker/dealers.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, grow, and maintain intermediary relationships with advisors and institutional sales professionals.
- Work with National Accounts Team and internal wholesaler to communicate client voice from the field and maximize territory sales coverage.
- Responsible for lead identification, follow-up activity, client profiling, and sales execution.
- Develop and leverage key internal relationships to aid in delivering BlackRock's cash products.
- Use creative thinking to target clients and develop customized sales messaging/ideas.
- Utilize CRM technology to capture sales activities and track the progress of sales opportunities for the territory.
- Manage day-to-day operational duties (i.e. manage and track sales lead flow, manage and maintain existing and prospect client databases, report weekly activities and accomplishments, etc.)
- Be a contributing partner on a team that thrives on partnership, communication and execution.
- Manage budget to maximize time and resources.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree required
- 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry, including 3+ years of sales experience
- NASD Series 7 and 66 (or 63 65) required
- Preference to those who have previously covered the Western US with existing relationships and a strong reputation among the advisory community
- Ability to develop relationships with clients/prospects and deliver ideas and information that will generate sales and assets
- Ability to travel within the region is necessary
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- High energy, self-motivated individual, commitment to excellence
- Exceptional presentation skills both on the phone and in-person
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced team environment
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and CRM technology
- Strong character references
