A little about the role:
Based in Collingwood, you’ll be joining a small BD team working closely with, and report to, the Business Development Manager, who will support you with guidance, leads, encouragement and attend client meetings where appropriate.
This role is responsible for the identification and acquisition of new business clients as well as the development of existing customer relationships with the view to maintain and expand on current and ongoing business activity. You will be predominantly offering Government funded services including; workforce development services such as the Skills for Growth Program, and training in business, management, retail and hospitality qualifications.
Depending on your background and strengths, you will be offered a market segment or geographic area. After a qualifying period AVTES may also support you in obtaining Diploma level or higher qualifications.
A little about you:
We are looking for someone with a consultative sales approach and be at ease dealing with senior business owners at the SME level and senior HR and other executives in the corporate sector. This is a small yet growing business, so you will need to be happy working autonomously, yet willing to pitch in with the team when necessary.
- Minimum 2 years VET sales sector experience
- Minimum 5 years business to business selling experience
- A proven ability to work independently
- Strong time management skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Experience with CRM systems
