Business Development Director – Financial Services Job in London, London UK
This opportunity is with a leading global provider of data centre and cloud platform services that offer businesses a place to reliably run their operations and securely exchange critical information in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
You will be jointly responsible with Sales and Marketing for target revenue and new logo acquisition. You will provide subject matter expertise input for the GoToMarket strategy. Provide domain expertise with regards to the Financial Services segments, both internally and externally. Assist the sales teams locally in the consultative sales process as well as ‘elevating’ the sales pitch within the vertical and help to respond to opportunities (RFP). Identify and create profitable revenue opportunities and leads for the Financial Services segment through your own network. Keep fully informed of and evaluate new and existing market trends.
You will need the following experience:
· Bachelor degree; Business/Commercial Economics or Business Administration or with equivalent experiences
· Significant experience of marketing, business strategy, and technology experience within the global exchanges and trading platforms as well as their market data offerings
· Understanding of asset classes and financial instruments traded on global exchanges and trading platforms
· Subject matter expertise in the area of market data, network design, FIX routing, and selection criteria for connectivity solutions.
· Working knowledge of NSP’s and extranet providers that can service the financial industry
· Understanding of the key drivers and considerations in a data centre selection process with the ability to clearly articulate these to both business and technology decision makers
· Proven track record in project management, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
· Culturally aware and adept at working across multiple geographies
