Business Development Executive - Financial Services
We have an immediate opening for a Business Development Executive to work in our Financial Services Department. In this position, you will indentify, qualify and close sales opportunities through individual opportunity ownership and coordinated marketing support activities with inside sales teams, field sales people and our technology teams. As a subject matter expert, you will develop consultative selling tactics to educate customers and employees on the application of leasing and financing products and services GTSI Corp delivers.
Key Responsibilities
- Attain or exceed individual assignments while contributing to Financial Services objectives for revenue, market share and profit; forecast, track and report on attainment of objectives
- Understand unique government industry requirements and champion changes with our vendors and within GTSI necessary to address customer requirements
- Develop, implement and monitor education programs for external and internal clients
- Maintain expertise in leasing and financing through personal use, following industry publications, vendor technology education, participation in industry forums and events and formal education where necessary.
- Develop individually or support team efforts in proposal responses, customer presentations and demonstrations.
Key Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience as an outside Financial Services sales person. Selling leasing and financing solutions to the Federal government is required.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Must have proven track record for exceeding quota on a consistent basis.
- Must possess proven leadership qualities including entrepreneurial spirit, high energy, and ability to lead large cross-functional teams, track record of managing within budget allocations, strong marketing skills with ability to attract and interact with customers at all levels in government markets.
- Ideal candidate will maintain extremely high customer contact level, possess superb communication and interpersonal skills and be able to thrive in a high tempo business development organization; must possess a proven record of developing and maintaining C-level customer relationships.
- Must possess excellent negotiation skills and experience, especially in developing, proposing and closing opportunities.
- Travel will be required and must have a high energy work ethic and be available to work non-standard hours during peak season times.
