Currencies Direct Ltd is seeking regionally based business development executives to join our dynamic team. We are one of Europe’s largest independent foreign exchange specialists, and was one of the first to recognise the need in the market for an expert secondary foreign exchange provider to traditional banks. We provide global transaction solutions and currency risk management services for companies around the world.
Role
This role is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a motivated and driven business development professional. Reporting to the Regional Development Manager, the primary purpose of this role is to ensure the business development goals of the organisation are achieved. You will be responsible for selling our clients established foreign exchange service to medium sized corporate. You will proactively target new business by working closely with a lead generation team and also your own development activity. You will map the organisation to decision maker (typically Chief Financial Officer or Financial Director) initiate contact, manage opportunity through pipeline and close the business to enable the account to trade. Your role will incorporate both telephone and client facing sales in your region.
Key Responsibilities:
• Acquisition of new corporate foreign exchange business through field sales in the Northern Region
• Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients
• Develop a pipeline of corporate opportunities in the Northern region
• Work closely with the Regional Development Manager to identify, develop and execute marketing initiatives
Qualifications, Knowledge Skills
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience in consultative selling and have excellent sales process management skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must as is a good understanding of foreign exchange and/or banking and financial services industry. Whilst an understanding of FX and financial products is an advantage, it is not essential.
