Business Development Executives – London New Jersey - Pharmaceutical Consultancy

A global pharmaceutical consultancy with offices in London, New Jersey, San Francisco, New Delhi and Beijing has an opening for a Business Development Executive based out of either the consultancy’s London or New Jersey offices. The candidate will play a vital role helping to execute an aggressive growth strategy through the development of new client opportunities.

The candidate must have at least 5 years of consultative business development experience within the pharmaceutical industry gained from roles within service providers (Management Consultancies, Market Research Organizations, CROs, CMOs, etc.). A thorough working knowledge of the industry is required, and comprehensive and relevant relationships within the space will be considered a major advantage. An extensive network within the industry would be an advantage.

The role will include the identification of new opportunities and relevant contacts, client needs analysis, the preparation and delivery of introductory meetings and client pitches, proposal writing, and transitioning new projects to the consultancy’s teams.

The preferred candidate will have past experience in prospecting new accounts, identifying the appropriate key contacts, and qualifying opportunities across multiple therapeutic areas and business practices. He or she must be a high energy, results-oriented individual with a creative and analytical mind who has the ability to build trusting relationships with new prospects.

The successful candidate will work out of either our London (UK) or Summit (NJ) office and will report to the Director of Business Development. Regular and extensive US and European travel will be required.

Candidates should be eligible to work in the UK or US and be able to travel freely within Europe and the US.
