Business Development Manager

Kärcher UK is a £65m UK subsidiary of the well-established, profitable and growing €1.6bn European Group, Kärcher GMBH, which supplies a broad range of products and consumables to a wide spectrum of markets.

 

Innovation and sustained NPD are core features, 80% of the company’s products are less than 5 years old and Kärcher has recently won The Tesco Online Supplier of the Year Award. Building on the already successful growth of recent years, this individual will play a pivotal part in the development of new business in the Industrial Manufacturing Markets sector.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility

 

New Business Development of the Industrial Manufacturing Markets in the region. 

 

 

 

§        Target 6 Industrial Manufacturing Markets in the sales region

o       Food Processing

o       Automotive

o       Electrical Manufacturing

o       Mechanical Manufacturing

o       Chemical Industry

o       Pharmaceutical Industry

§        New Business Development, building new end user customer relationships

§        Getting Kärcher listed as the primary supplier of Cleaning Equipment

§        Utilising database provided and/or cold calling

§        Following up sales leads

§        Developing and maintaining a database of new customers

§        Selling the Kärcher range to the end user

§        Successful launch into this new target market initiative

§        Providing advice/product guidance  to the end user

§        Channelling sales through the local dealer network

§         Working closely with the Kärcher Sales Team making best use of all resources.

 

The ideal candidate will possess:-

 

·         Previous experience and knowledge of the cleaning industry

·         Sales experience in the markets identified above

·         Experience of working to targets and enjoy the challenge of exceeding them

·         A determination to identify new business opportunities

·         Proven skills in developing customer relationships

·         High levels of commitment and enthusiasm

·         Strong Product Knowledge

·         Strong inter-personal skills

·         Experience and a drive for cold calling

·         Knowledge and capability in all MS Office programmes

·         Full clean driving licence.
