Business Development Manager
Our Client, a tier I / II automotive supplier in Metro Detroit, specializes in underhood air induction systems. They are in need of an experienced Business Development Manager, with established contacts in either GM or Chrysler (or both). This is a Direct Hire opportunity for a high level role, and they are ideally looking for individuals with a proven track record of acquiring new business, strategic planning, prospecting and bringing new orders in the door. Some of the bullet points per our discussion with our client:
- Previous experience working in air induction would be a huge advantage, or with injection molded underhood components.
- Looking for someone with 15-20 years experience ideally
- GM and Chrysler accounts
- Global market experience would be preferred (our client is an International Company)
- Need someone to be able to manage the business development experience
- Good at sales, strategic planning, ‘rain-maker’ mentality
- Account Management responsibilities for kicked off programs (budget, design meetings, rfq’s, tooling budget, etc.)
- “Key Account Manager”
- Salary will be dependent upon experience level
- Location: currently in the Northville area, but will be moving permanently to Macomb County some time in 2012.
