We are currently searching for an experienced Business Development Manager for our client who is one of the top law firms in the nation. Our client is focused on Human Resource related law and dominate their respected sector. The Business Development Manager is responsible for supporting the sales and business development initiatives of the Florida lawyers, the firm generally, and practice and/or industry groups as requested. The BD Specialist reports to the Florida Regional Managing Partner(s). The BD Manager collaborates with the firm’s Marketing Department and business development specialists in other locations.
The incumbent will be responsible for assisting attorneys in the Florida offices in the preparation of detailed individual business development plans which identify associations to join, clients and contacts to nurture, opportunities to investigate, and practice or industry areas to develop internally and externally. Monitoring individual business development plan implementation and goal achievement. Prepare reports for the Regional Managing Partner and/or members of firm management. Research and help arrange wider firm involvement in associations and conferences. Assist attorneys in obtaining speaking engagements and networking opportunities with appropriate organizations. Working with the Marketing Department and the local Office Managers and Coordinators, assist with logistics and promotion around breakfast briefings and conferences and trade shows in the Florida offices (or elsewhere as needed).
Position Qualifications: The position of Business Development Manager requires someone with at least three years of experience in Legal or Human Resources, preferably in a law firm, other professional service organization or an association. The position requires a college degree in marketing, communications, journalism or a related field, or law.
