JOB DESCRIPTION - Business Development Manager

£25,000 Basic, OTE - £55K+. BMW Company Car, Fuel Card, Laptop, Mobile

To visit potential new customers to win fixed line business. To upsell additional products and services

Principal Responsibilities
- To meet a monthly new business target
- To meet pre-set KPi`s for self-generated new business appointments
- To work within a predefined region
- To actively promote additional products and services
- Follow up on referrals and new leads resulting after field activity
- To liaise with internal staff to ensure new business is connected correctly with little/no disruption to the clients business
- To actively interact with other BDM`s for other products and services
- To be flexible and willing to develop product knowledge of additional products and services
- Preparing a variety of sales status reports that include activity, follow-up and closings when requested by Line Manager
- To complete all necessary internal paperwork and ensure a signed agreement is received from every new sale
- To meet agreed KPI`s and personal targets
Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Experience within the communications or similar industry in a field based role
- A friendly outgoing personality, of a smart ``business like`` appearance with good time keeping
- Able to meet fixed deadlines and manage under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with good clear telephone manner
- Must achieve monthly targets for new business as well as occasional promotions for new products
- Good computer application skills such as Word, Excel, Power Point etc.
- A good team player with a flexible approach
- Full driving licence
- Related sales experience with a good level of education
