Business Development Manager - Managed Print Services: # Staples Technology Solutions (STS) is the technology division of Staples. STS is the leading imaging computer supplies distributor in the US. We provide innovative procurement and I.T. solutions, including Managed Print Services, for businesses across all verticals and customer segments. The Business Development Manager -Managed Print Services (BDM-MPS) is responsible for meeting Managed Print Solutions revenue and profit targets through their own business development activities, as well as, joint sales activities with STS and Staples Sales Representatives. This role will serve as the New England region subject matter expert and leader of Staples MPS offerings and is focused on increasing sales volumes, and expanding MPS market share. Primary Responsibilities: " Identify, prospect and close non Staples customers for MPS " Conduct joint customer sales calls with STS-ENT and Staples Office Products sales reps to present and develop, propose and close managed print opportunities " Train and assist STS-ENT and Staples Office Products sales reps to qualify and identify mps opportunities, including defensive strategies to retain existing toner revenue stream. " Direct MPS assessments, proposal development and RFP responses including overall account acquisition strategy. " Define MPS strategy, assessment criteria and TCO variables. " Develop and propose solutions that reduce existing Staples customers overall document output cost in a non-managed print environment. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: " Bachelor's Degree required with a minimum of four (4) years direct selling experience or high school diploma plus a minimum of six (6) years direct selling experience " Expert consultative selling and negotiating skills. I.T. and C-Level Experience a plus. " Demonstrated ability to prospect, present, and develop proposals to successfully close new MPS or Managed Service business. " Possess excellent presentation skills " Possess the ability to mentor a cross-functional team of sales reps with differing backgrounds to identify, qualify and close MPS solutions within their current customer and prospect base. " Available for up to 50% travel across the Region. Preferred: " Demonstrated ability to hunt and close new business accounts for MPS " Passion for success " Strong Leadership skills " Minimum of two (2) years Managed Services experience a plus " Ability to articulate the MPS value proposition " Excellent verbal and written communication skills. " Experience in any outsourced managed service including print service, managed network and IT services, application service provider, cloud computing, business process outsourcing " Knowledge of Managed Print industry trends, competition, customer buying patterns and marketing techniques " Demonstrated ability to build strategic partnerships across organizations.
