Business Development Manager – Media Monitoring Media Evaluation. Salary Up to £40k Basic + Uncapped Commission OTE £80k - £100k

Our client is a leading media intelligence provider. They offer a range of solutions including Media Monitoring Evaluations for a varied client base including: Corporates (including most of the FTSE 100), Government Not for Profit, Media and PR, SME’s, FMCG and Entertainment.

 

About the role of Business Development Manager

 

The role of Business Development Manager sits within the New Business Sales team and reports directly into the Head of Sales.

 

You will be responsible for new business and pro actively selling Media Monitoring Media Evaluation services to new clients.

 

This will be achieved by quickly building an understanding of our client’s full breadth of services, and then approaching major prospective clients to gain an insight into their PR and communications objectives, establish what services they have in place currently, and where opportunities lie for them to provide an improved or enhanced service. The company has a strong forward pipeline of new product and service development to support the consolidation of sales in existing sectors and access into new sectors.

You will build and maintain a list of major prospective clients and utilise regular communication, media, events, networking and other opportunities to approach major prospective clients, and present confidently and competently across all services areas.

 

Candidate Requirements


·       Proven track record in new business (minimum of 3 years experience)

·       Experience of working within either Media Intelligence / Media Monitoring, Business Information, Financial Communications or Digital Media is preferred but not essential

·       Excellent commercial awareness and the ability to focus on setting and meeting demanding revenue targets

·       Experience of delivering face to face sales presentations at ‘C’ level

·       Considerable interpersonal communication skills and the ability to form good relations both internally and externally with clients

·       Experience in putting together proposals and tenders

·       Degree educated
