The Team
The CommSec Adviser Services Distribution team is committed to developing new business opportunities across internal and external channels. The team is also committed to providing ongoing service to maintain existing business across our product suite and services.
The Role
The BDM will work with internal teams to develop and implement a revenue growth strategy across all channels with a strong emphasis on the stockbroking market.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing new business opportunities in line with stated targets for margin lending, cash, equities trading and other financial products as directed.
- Drive existing relationships including cross sell and uncover revenue opportunities.
- Prospect for new relationships to diversify revenue across the Victorian market.
- Drive regional sales activity in conjunction with State Manager.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of sales strategy as directed by State Manager / Head of Adviser Distribution.
- Conducting seminars and presentations to intermediaries and their clients.
- Achieving and exceeding stated activity targets in line with KPI's.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrated experience in the operation of margin lending, cash and equities trading and client specific mandates; or demonstrates the ability to learn complex product details and deliver relevant product information to informed clients.
- Detailed understanding of stockbroking industry and trends.
- Good understanding of the workings of dealer groups, financial planners and distribution of financial products in these markets.
- Proven track record of sales achievement.
- Outstanding communication skills and a proven track record of relationship development skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proven ability to present to groups of advisers and investors in seminars.
