About the role:
Due to growth and career progression, we currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manager Business Development based at our Melbourne CBD Head Office to be part of our Strategy department
Reporting to the Head of Business Development, this role is pivotal in originating, managing and executing growth and investment opportunities for the business. You will seek to ensure long term value realisation of assets and contribute to the ongoing strategy development for the business.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Developing business cases and assessing market opportunities for delivery of medium to large scale opportunities to gain investment approval
- In-depth research and presentation of fundamentals of potential investments as well as broader industry/market research
- Managing the implementation and execution of these opportunities post investment approval (including financial analysis, due diligence, documentation, financing)
- Liaising and managing a broad range of internal and external key stakeholder (including internal business units, shareholders, consultants, state governments, regulators, etc.)
- Managing cross business-unit teams (internal and external) for the production of business cases and for the delivery of approved business cases for large scale business investment projects
- Managing resources and developing the capabilities of the resources
As the successful candidate you will have demonstrated your understanding of the regulatory environment in Australia as well as a range of infrastructure opportunity environments:
- Tertiary qualifications in economics, commerce, law or a related field
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience in business development including experience at a senior level in influencing and recommending successful business outcomes
- Previous work experience in end to end asset investment including developing business cases and acquisition execution
- Has a background in at least one of the following areas in order to comprehend the complexity of infrastructure deals and stakeholder management
- Infrastructure (PPP) or Project Finance
- Energy , Resources, Waste or Transport Infrastructure Industry
- Previous work experience in business development including experience at a senior level in influencing and recommending successful business outcomes
