Business Development Manager, APAC
The Company is a global firm with offices in Hong Kong, London, New York and Sydney. The Company specialises in advisory and research for the natural resources, metals and energy industries. The Company serves the majority of major mining and trading companies, investment banks, fund managers and public sector agencies active in the resource space. The Company’s advisory business focuses on providing advice for transactions of significant value - including IPOs, financing (debt/equity), due diligence and special situation pursuits.
As a Business Development Manager, you will actively originate, build and manage relationships with mining and institutional clients, and drive to grow the advisory and research business in APAC. Key responsibilities for the role include:
- Relationship management – new and existing clients
- Seek new business opportunities
- Client calls and meetings
- Presentations
- Development and implementation of marketing campaigns
We are seeking candidates who are interested in applying their Business Development experience to the global commodities market. This is an exciting front office role where you will be responsible for managing key relationships with large mining and institutional clients. Requirements for the role include:
- Minimum 7 years experience in institutional business development
- Experience within the metals, mining and energy industries
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Commercial acumen and strong negotiation skills
- Effective time management – planning and implementation
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with senior executives of major corporations
