Solix is currently seeking a number of Business Development Managers (Outside Sales Representatives), with 6+ years of experience, to join its growing sales team.

Job Summary

This position will be responsible for cultivating prospective new client opportunities, where Solix can display its unparalleled ability to add value by provisioning its customized solution-based services.  On a daily basis, this role will be responsible for understanding prospective client’s needs, and identifying and qualifying new opportunities.  While this position involves “hunting”, it is not your tradition hunting role; at Solix you are not required to cold-call your way into targeted accounts.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Identify prospective new client opportunities by attending/participating in industry-specific conferences, trade-shows, user groups, webinars, blogs, and relevant networking functions.  Develop and nurture relationships and advance Solix's credibility with prospective clients

·         Work with Solix’s Marketing Manager and dedicated Inside Sales Team to develop marketing campaigns that are focused on arranging meetings with prospective clients, on your behalf

·         Investigate, understand, and translate the business needs of prospective clients through active listening and dialogue

·         Work with Solix’s Solution Architects to craft custom solutions, based on Solix's desire to exceed the needs of the prospective client, by leveraging the full strength of the Solix team.  You will serve as the project manager for developing and delivering proposals in accordance with Solix’s defined sales process

·         Orchestrate how Solix will prove its capabilities, negotiate, and close new business opportunities while leveraging the full strength of Solix’s Executive team

·         Provide feedback and recommendations to the Director Business Development regarding the content of marketing campaigns and service offerings.  Proactively communicate any barriers, risks, or issues that develop during the sales-cycle

·         Monitor and forecast relevant market developments and identify opportunities for Solix

·         Administer a formal sales process that includes the monitoring of deal pipeline, and projections, through the use of a Sales Force Automation (SFA) tool, and report status on a weekly and monthly basis

·         Maintain in-depth knowledge of the Telecommunications and/or Utilities industries

 

Education or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Administration plus at least 6-years related experience; or at least 10-years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 6-years sales management and/or business development experience including experience at a business process outsourcing firm that has sold to the telecommunications and/or utilities industries; 6-years of a proven track record of generating new accounts and consistently achieving sales targets; strong knowledge of the solution-sales process, including the ability to formulate and implement sales plans and strategies for assigned accounts; strong public speaking and presentation skills; excellent business writing skills, including the ability to compose and compile proposals; business process outsourcing sales knowledge; strong project management and teamwork skills, including the ability to delegate and coordinate activities across a cross-functional team; strong interpersonal skills and negotiation skills; strong analytical, strategic, and problem solving skills; ability to use a Sales Force Automation tool. Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license, a satisfactory driving record, automobile insurance, and a reliable vehicle.

Division of Time:

The candidate will spend 50% of their time traveling, and 50% in the Solix office, with the following breakdown of activities:

·         40% cultivating new opportunities

·         30% interacting with prospective Clients

·         20% participating in solution and proposal development

·         10% administrative, updating SFA tool, and reporting status

 

Minimum Requirements:

·         You must have experience selling Business Process Outsourcing services (Hardware-led and Software-led services sales experience does not apply)

·         You must have experience selling to U.S.-based Telecommunications Companies, and/or Utilities Companies

·         You must have proven success as a “Hunter”, where you have brought in new clients

·         You will be required to pass a drug-test
