Business Development Manager (General Insurance) recruitment
Responsibilities:
Business Development:
- Generate sales to meet growth targets and increase market share
- Develop own portfolio of corporate clientsfrom contacts within the relevant industry (Insurance companies, Banks, Travel players, Car Manufacturers etc.)
- Conceptualize and propose new product/services initiatives in response to identified opportunities
- Build manage client relationships and provide dedicated response and follow-up to all sales enquiries
- Lead key contract negotiations and closures with corporate partners/clients
Account Management:
- Develop a thorough understanding of Travel Medical Insurance business
- Cross-sell Up-sell products and services to increase business from existing clients
- Build and maintain a strong relationship with the portfolio of existing clients and follow up closely to ensure renewal of the business
- Monitor and report on existing corporate client sales figures on a regular basis
- Develop customized sales plans to enhance business growth from existing corporate clients
Requirement:
- Degree in Marketing, Business Management or equivalent
- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in travel OR insurance industry, candidates with experience in Travel or Medical insurance are strongly preferred
- Proven sales track record in the Insurance industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with preparing and making presentations
- Possess strong interpersonal and client management skills
- Meticulous with strong analytical and numerical skills
- Possess high-level of computer literacy
- Self-motivated, friendly, professional, results-driven
- Experience in insurance broking preferred
