Opportunity:
We are in search of an extremely skilled, results-oriented business development professional who will be accountable for implementing initiatives focusing on the development of relationships and new business opportunities with intermediaries (referral sources) and potential clients with respect to geographical target markets of Experta Luxembourg. As a Business Development Manager, your primary responsibility will be driving revenue generation for Experta Luxembourg by creating, managing and implementing business development initiatives as a self-starter.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and implement a business development strategy for a particular geographical target market or customer group
- Identify business opportunities in terms of new products and services regarding corporate and investment structures that may be provided by Experta Luxembourg
- Conduct business development missions on a particular geographical target market or with respect to a specific customer group
- Liaise with group entities of our shareholder, Banque Internationale à Luxembourg, regarding business development activities in a combined approach, in order to favour synergies and the cross-selling of financial services and services related to the administration of regulated investment structures
- Coordinate the establishment of service offers for potential clients, combining the resources of Experta Luxembourg in terms of products and services; present and implement the service offers
- Create presentations on the activity, the products and services provided by Experta Luxembourg, and performance of presentations on related topics, internally and externally in a business development context
Qualifications:
- University degree in business administration or applied economics (with majors in finance or accounting) or law (for both, minimum four (4) years cycle); advanced degree preferred (graduate school diploma), especially if related to international tax law
- Sound knowledge of the Luxembourg legislation in terms of company law and tax law; working knowledge with concepts of international tax law, related to cross-border corporate and investment structures, and accounting
- 8+ years business development/sales experience in the accounting, financial consulting, business advisory services and/or corporate and trust industries. Big 4 or other national/regional trust company experience and field sales experience highly desired
- Business expertise; ability to understand and communicate the business, marketplace and value proposition of Experta Luxembourg
- Driven self-starter with a proactive approach to develop business relationships at all levels in a client-oriented environment
- Solid writing and editing skills with a focus on developing sales messages with impact
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
- Fluency in English; the knowledge of other languages, particularly German, Spanish, Italian and/or a language from Central and Eastern Europe or the Scandinavian countries is highly desired
- Computer skills (Word, Excel and Powerpoint); knowledge of contact management software including update, maintenance and list generation preferred
- Availability to travel
- Excellent project management skills; ability to work in a deadline-driven environment; handle multiple projects simultaneously to accomplish desired results
