PTS Managed Services (PTS MS) is a subsidiary of PTS Consulting, specialising in providing cost effective outsourced IT solutions for the SME market. PTS MS has developed its outsourced IT solutions globally over the past 5 years and is now seeking a Business Development Manager with strong IT background to join this rapidly growing division covering the Greater China region. Based in Hong Kong, this is a challenging commercial position with excellent career advancement and attractive OTE package.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Cold calling of prospects across sectors (with particular emphasis on the financial sector such as hedge funds, private equity, fund managers, etc.) to identify opportunities, particularly new start-up businesses in Hong Kong and China
- Schedule and attend client meetings to position the PTS value proposition and develop the lead
- Collect client IT requirements and work with the systems engineers to develop a design and bill of materials in order to propose high level and detailed IT budgets
- Sell value add consultancy services such as project management, AV design, MEP design, SCS design, etc.
- Help develop the PTS MS Sales Marketing materials working with peers across the globe
- Run effective sales campaigns to help promote the brand and grow the business
- Develop and maintain key business contacts across the industry with focus on prime brokers, government organisations such as InvestHK and key hardware/software distributors
- Provide account management activities to existing customers, attend regular service reviews and look to protect revenue through pro-active client engagement and responsiveness
- Keep abreast of market and competitor activity
- Attend industry networking events and support relevant marketing activities
Qualifications and Specific Job Skills
- A solid engineering background is an advantage for this position, with particular emphasis on understanding latest technology trends and technology solutions for the SME market
- Minimum 5 years’ commercial experience selling IT related services
- IT outsourcing and finance sector experience seen as an big advantage
- Has a proven commercial track record of exceeding targets and identifying new business opportunities
- Has a strong client network in Greater China (preferably Hong Kong)
- Has strong attention to detail and the ability to listen, interpret and understand client requirements
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of an organisation
- Must have a can-do attitude, a strong business acumen and influencing skills
- Presentable, professional and committed to excellence where the customer comes first always
- Excellent spoken and written English, with Cantonese and Mandarin communication skills an advantage
