    Digital Electronic Supply is an international cable and wire manufacturer headquartered in Birmingham, AL. DES currently sells more than 17 million feet of coaxial cable per month and has customers throughout the US and Caribbean. DES has consistently grown 33% year over year.

We are forecasting significant demand for our products. Consequently, we are looking for an experienced Business Development professional to aggressively drive growth of our cable and wire distribution throughout the US. This position is a national position with a flexible “home base” as it will require 80%+ travel to meet growth targets.

The ideal candidate will:

-           Have a proven track-record for business development, building long term client relationships, and meeting sales and revenue goals.

-           Be an experienced sales HUNTER, especially in the area of business-to-business with supply distributors.

-           Have strong skills in prospecting, cold calling, setting appointments, qualifying and closing business.

-           Take a structured approach to sales.

-           Excel in a commission-based compensation structure with high earning potential.

-           Comfortable with being held accountable for revenue growth.

-           Be tenacious, optimistic, proactive, confident, ambitious, and maintain a high work and ethical standards.

-           Be motivated to make an impact and WIN.

Major Tasks Responsibilities:

-           Drive growth through new customer acquisition, existing client retention and expansion. This will require extensive overnight travel.

-           Be responsible for increasing total top-line revenue by 85%.

-           Develop and maintain long-term client relationships.

-           Identify emerging technologies among customer base both complimentary and detrimental to DES products.

-           Provide market analysis and competitive intelligence to the VP of Sales and Marketing.

-           Develop regional contacts and professional network.

Preferred Qualifications:

-           B.A. /B.S. Business, Economics or Marketing

-           Significant sales or business development experience working for companies such as Commscope, General Cable, Southwire, Coleman Cable or other national cable and wire manufacturer.

-           Significant sales or business development experience selling to major distributors like Graybar, Rexel, Anixter, CESCO, WESCO, or to major multichannel video providers.

These positions will receive a high base salary plus commissions with no ceiling on commissions earned.  Upon successfully completing a 90 day evaluation period and being offered full time employment, you will be eligible for the following benefits:
