Business Development Manager - Energy Sector

The company is a well known, independent name in the field of Business Utilities Management, who manage major electrical, gas and telecommunications business contracts. These contracts are across a wide range of sectors, including education, manufacturing, retails, and hospitality. The company works alongside all the major trade associations in close partnership, and they have extensive plans in place to expand the range of services they can offer in 2012.

To support their expansion programme, they now require a Business Development Manger who will concentrate on managing a portfolio of key clients.  You will ensure that the terms of each contract are being delivered. You will work closely with the Sales Marketing Director in devising marketing strategies for each client, and visit them to present your ideas and plans, which they will welcome. Another key component of the role is developing sound relationships with your contacts based on trust and clear information exchanges. You will also have sales ability to put across new ideas as the company will introduce new and additional services that will compliment their current offering and range.

The role will expand over the next three years so an excellent opportunity to advance your career. To be effective in the role, you will need the following range of skills: excellent communication; be adept at presenting to a wide range of management levels; time management and prioritising, and be IT literate. Previous or current experience of the Energy sector, either a consultancy or a brokerage would be excellent.
