Our firm is growing and we are looking for a dynamic, driven individual to join our team that will build the sales pipeline by attending networking events, placing outgoing calls to small and medium sized businesses in the region, developing strategic alliances, and setting up appointments for prospective clients looking to achieve Freedom, Finances, and Fulfillment. This organized person needs to know all the services the firm provides and be knowledgeable about all business development workshop events on the company's calendar.

Description of Duties: Business Development Manager
Feed the sales pipeline by attending networking events, participating in a leads groups, making cold-calls, setting strategic alliance meetings, and supporting all the ActionCOACH business coaches. Must be able to follow-up consistently, on-time, and professionally with all prospects and clients. Our team values dedication, hard work, accountability, and delivering results. The right person is focused, energetic, open to new learning, and works well with others. Experience with Excel, Word, and emailing is required. The business development manager must have considerable sales experience and be an organized and strong negotiator. A university degree in one of the commerce, accounting, economics, marketing, or business administration streams may prove useful (although not necessary) for entry into the position.

Responsibility of a Business Development Manager
• Investigate coaching opportunities and business development for surrounding small businesses.
• Prepare a daily calendar to stay on target with goals and objectives.
• Contact professional strategic alliances such as an accountant, banker and/or lawyer to provide expert information about our business and set-up meetings for the business development director.
• Network with small, medium, and large businesspeople and build relationships and referral systems.
• Attend at least two networking event per week.
• Succeed at cold-calling businesses, setting-up appointments, and feeding the sales pipeline.
• Attend workshops, trade shows, and seminars to keep up-to-date on industries, companies, and opportunities.
• Adopt a team approach; work with others in pursuing common goals.
• A business development manager should be able to present the strategy clearly to its customers. The strategy should contain a clear vision followed by a set of clear time-bound actions in order to achieve consistent success.
• Proficiently present value that each event offers a business owner/attendee.
• Conduct outbound phone calls to target prospects, channels or clients.
• Promote upcoming events to the target prospects, channels or clients and establish opportunities.
• Register interested people for the events using the current registration process.
• Use networking activities for identifying targeted prospects and channels. (i.e. Chamber of Commerce)
• Update prospect database for all team members as sales steps are completed.
• Communicate weekly in a report the results of your activities.

Compensation
$24,000/base salary, 3% commission on all new sales, 10% commission on all paid speaking events sold, healthcare covered at 50%, PTO and holidays covered.

Revenue opportunities for commission (to forecast income)
One-to-one coaching contracts are $18,000-$60,000/year
Group coaching is $2,000-$15,000/year
Speaking events are $1,500-$15,000/day
