Business Development Manager Job in Littleton 01460, Massachusetts US
Job Purpose:
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive Marathon revenue through the development, and management of strategic OEM alliances and ISV (independent software vendors) partners. The Business Development Manager is a motivated self-starter who will develop and execute sales strategies with existing partners and their channel while driving the recruitment of new alliances in an assigned region or vertical.
Responsibilities include:
· Identify key ISV target opportunities and develop sales approach to engage with the ISV
· Manage all aspects necessary to drive business with a partner account
· Develop and execute joint business plans
· Own strategic alliance and ISV partner revenue number, sales forecast, and pipeline development
· Report on revenue tracking, forecasting, and other business metrics
· Provide leadership in Marathon product positioning
· Leverage partner training and go-to-market plans
· Field enable partner sales and marketing teams by engaging with other Marathon sales and operating resources
Requirements:
· BA/BS degree is a must
· Minimum 5-7 years of relevant software sales and/or business development experience – preferably in industrial automation, building control or similar industry
· Familiarity with a broad range of application and infrastructure software is desirable
· Strong business acumen and negotiation abilities
· Great team player. Strong drive. Willing to take leadership role in driving initiatives, working across organizations, and structuring approaches to new opportunities
· Demonstrated ability to present effectively
· Track record in achieving sales and growth goals
· Strong strategic selling/business development skills
· Exceptional telephone skills
· Salesforce.com experience
