Title: Business Development Manager

Territory: Long Island


Overall Summary:


The BDM will plan and carry out sales activities within small, medium and large accounts, so as to maintain and develop sales of CADD Edge’s engineering software/hardware offerings including SolidWorks, PDM/PLM Solutions, KBE Systems, Objet Printers and others to new accounts.  Business will be conducted within a defined territory.


Primary and Essential Accountabilities:


§  Provide territory management data including forecasts, account management documentation, activitiy reports and a working business plan for the assigned territory to management utilizing NetSuite ERP/CRM

§  Prospect in respective territories through cold calling, OEM lead follow-up, seminar attendance, trade show and other events.

§  Respond to and follow up sales enquiries by telephone, email and personal visits and quote as needed.

§  Maintain a living forecast of 30-60-90 day activity and weekly activity reports

§  Present solutions to customers/prospects using PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc

§  Work with the technical team to present a strong business solution to our prospects and customers.

§  Develop a working relation with existing and new accounts.

§  Maintain and develop existing and new customers through planned individual account support, and liaison with internal marketing and order management groups.

§  Maintain an agreed upon quota as assigned for each territory. 

§  Attend training and develop relevant knowledge and skills through research and reading industry publications and related materials.

 

Qualifications:


§  BS in Business/Science/Technology field or equivalent experience in Engineering field

§  5-10 Years Solution Sales Experience in a technical environment preferably the engineering/manufacturing community

§  Consistent track record of successful sales shown by over goal performance of selling software technical solutions

§  Demonstratable professional sales skills including presentation skills

§  Strong knowledge of the MCAD industry preferred

§  Exceptional ability to function in a team environment, appreciate aggressive sales goals, superior communication, organizational and time management skills

§  Ability to travel within assigned region

§  Proficient in MS Office Products
