In this key role, the Business Development Manager has responsibility to initiate and lead negotiations with health insurance companies, managed care providers and other contracted reimbursement sources. Managing a territory, our Business Development Managers partner with office Directors to develop valued relationships and grow business. While the position is based in Parsippany, NJ, some travel is required.
Responsibilities include:
• Review of contract language, terms and fee structures.
• Negotiation of reimbursement rates.
• Tracking and responding to financial and statistical reports.
• Researching new business opportunities.
• Gathering market and payor intelligence.
• Collaborating with corporate legal and financial departments.
• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships, both internally and externally.
You must have the following qualifications:
• Experience, knowledge and a thorough understanding of managed care environment
• Prior experience in home health care is strongly preferred , but not required
• Superb verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• The ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• PC proficiency
• A Bachelor's Degree is required
• A dynamic, results-oriented team player with a demonstrated track record of success
