Business Development Manager Job in South East England, Home Counties UK

Our client is a major 3PL who offers end-to-end logistics solutions to a diverse customer base. They understand that every business has its own unique needs and bearing that in mind develop efficient and effective supply chains best suited to each individual company's requirements.
They seek an exceptionally talented, lateral thinking, business development professional with supply chain solutions experience to join their team.

The successful candidate will continue to drive forward business growth and be a key figure in developing sales strategy. Essentially you will have a consistent track record of achievements gained within a retail and/or e-commerce environment. You will have previous consultancy type experience and this along with your proven depth of operational and systems understanding will enable you to competently work with existing and prospective clients to understand their supply chains in order to develop and model the most effective solutions for their business. You will build and deliver detailed proposals, so it goes without saying that you will have high levels of analytical ability, good communication and inter-personal skills, the ability to make first class presentations at the highest levels and the confidence and credibility to succeed in a very competitive market place.

In essence, we seek a candidate with an inherent passion to succeed - the kind of individual who makes things happen. Someone who is driven and focused with the ability to work under pressure and juggle tasks to accommodate changing priorities. Added to this, you will need to be an articulate, persuasive, sales professional with an in-depth understanding of logistics and supply chain activities backing - up your commercial flair.
