Business Development Manager – Mortgages – Brisbane recruitment
The Banking and Financial Services Group (BFS) is the primary relationship manager for Macquarie's retail client base with operations in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, North America and Europe. BFS provides a diverse range of retail banking and wealth management products and services to intermediaries, businesses and the end consumer.
Macquarie Advisor Services (MAS) manages relationships with external financial intermediaries and provides sales service and product management of in-house and external products including retail mortgages, term deposits, cash accounts, insurance and financial planning. We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join the team in Brisbane..
As a Business Development Manager, you will utilise your superior customer service skills, analytical and problem solving skills as well as your understanding of Mortgage Credit criteria. You will be responsible for developing and fostering relationships with Mortgage Brokers via phone based and face to face sales techniques. You will be responsible for building a portfolio of Mortgage Broker clients who will support and sell Macquarie branded mortgage products to their end clients.
You will have a passion for results, providing exceptional sales solutions for our clients in a dynamic and fast paced environment. You will be responsible for identifying client prospects and developing self-generated business leads, receiving inbound and making outbound calls (plus arranging meetings) with both existing and new clients, providing mortgages product information with a view of converting each call, lead, marketing campaign and referral into new business.
Ideally, you will:
- Have an understanding of Macquarie's Mortgage products credit criteria
- Be highly driven and motivated to achieve individual and team targets
- Collaboratively develop solutions for our Mortgage Broker clients (and in turn their clients/borrowers)
- Be able to communicate complex issues in a clear and easy to understand manner
- Have excellent communication skills and an exemplary telephone manner
- Thrive in a fast paced, dynamic, client focused team environment while also demonstrating the ability to also work autonomously when required
