Enterprise Content - Business Development Manager, North America

The Business Development Manager will be based in New York with a focus on developing and driving Enterprise Content sales in the North American market. This role will focus on high-value content including fixed income evaluated pricing and analytics, and legal entity / counterparty data for risk management, exposure and concentration analysis, compliance and regulatory mandates. The ideal candidate should have significant depth and experience in the securities industry, solid securities content foundation, exposure and/or direct experience with financial industry regulations and be highly knowledgeable about the use of Enterprise Content (security, reference data, terms conditions, pricing, corporate actions, legal entity / hierarchy data) in our clients front, middle and back- office workflows and use cases.

The following business development dimensions and activities are core responsibilities of this role. The role will report to the Enterprise Content Regional Head for the Americas.

Account Management - Proposition Development
- Deliver Enterprise Content Training and Certification
- Provide Enterprise Content Proposition Expertise
- Drive and Deliver Annual Roadshows and Periodic Regional Events
- Provide Strategic Account Relationship Management Support - Direct Client Visibility

Business Development - Commercial Negotiation and Approvals
- Actively Develop Enterprise Content Sales Opportunities
- Engaged in Direct Commercial Negotiation
- Provide Deal Analysis and Approvals
- Drive Sales Programs, Campaigns, and initiatives
- Provide Market and Competitive Intelligence

Marketing / Communications - Proposition Messaging
- Drive Enterprise Content Business Development Events
- Develop Content for Collateral: Brochures, Sales Sheet, Fact Sheets, etc.
- Participate in Industry Events and Partner Client Events
- Drive Increased Market Penetration Through Sales, Partners, and Industry Channels
- Participate in Working Groups / Assoc. (EDMC, FISD)

Product Delivery - Delivery and Distribution Platform (DataScope)
- Deliver New Functional Requirements
- Define and Sponsor Strategic Enhancements
- Collaborate with Product Management and Product Owners on new enhancements

Content - Data Acquisition and Redistribution
- -Drive Content Enhancements supporting and enhancing regional competitiveness and improved client adoption
- -Drive New Content Development
- -Deliver Business / Segment Focus: North America

Financial Management - Financial Performance
- Develop Strategic Revenue Growth Opportunities
- Provide Contributions to Financial Reporting
- Determine ROI vs. Cost and Propose Allocation of Regional Funding for Business Development

Client Support - Client Support - Help Desk
- Drive Improvements in Help Desk Support for Enterprise Content Products
- Provide Training Content and Management Escalation Ownership

Evaluated Pricing Requirements - Coverage and Quality
- Support Improvements in Coverage and Pricing Quality
- Develop Business Cases for Pricing Improvements
- Contribute to Pricing Operational Requirements
- Collaborate with Thomson Reuters Pricing Service to develop new/improved contributed pricing relationships

Partners Alliances - Partner Relationship Development
- Identify and Develop Partner Relationships Working with the Partners Alliances Team
- Selectively Develop Key Partners that Add Value to Enterprise Content Business and Drive Revenue
- Develop Strategic Partners Business Case for High Value Enterprise Content Partners
- Develop 'Go to Market' Strategies and Actively Support Partner to DataScope Integration

Skills

* Minimum 5+ years (7-10 recommended) of Enterprise Content (security, reference data, terms conditions, pricing, corporate actions, legal entity / hierarchy data)

* A fundamental understanding of the provision of financial data
* Ability to work in a matrix organization and managing projects with minimal supervision
* Ability to interact with and influence senior management and business stakeholders
* Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
