They are a true specialist in Project Freight Cargo and are continually engaged in hugely sophisticated freight arrangements for some of the World's largest organizations. Whether it's an aluminum smelter, an off shore oil well, a highly automated goldmine or any other vast, complicated, movement of freight our client can be called upon to complete the project with professionalism and efficiency.
THE LOCAL OFFICE:
Working out of the Canadian head office in Mississauga, you will have all the Senior Executive and operational support that any business development professional could ever want.
THE ROLE:
You will report to the Head of Project Cargo Services and will be a valuable resource in the continuous goal of building and developing this exciting business segment.
Your main responsibility will be to develop new business within this business segment. These shipments will cross all modes of transportation and will include many over-sized loads. Thus, you must be well versed in all modes of freight and have significant experience with oversized/project cargo.
THE CANDIDATE:
The perfect candidate will be well versed in INTERNATIONAL PROJECT FREIGHT!
You are a career sales professional well versed in all aspects of selling the services provided by an International Freight Forwarder. You are adept at working with your clients and providing them Value Added Solutions, forming a partnership rather than just selling a product.
The perfect candidate will have experience selling long-term, dedicated, Project Freight services. Project Freight Cargo can be defined as “oversized freight” or “one-off” unique freight movements. It can also defined as the provision of freight forwarding services associated with the long-term building of large, complicated, and sophisticated manufacturing plants, mines, oil wells, smelters, etc. These projects can last from many months to many years and involve organizing cargo movement from around the world with strict adherence to very specific and precise sequences and time frame. In either case, you will be called upon to allocate your tremendous wealth of knowledge and accumulated experience to the successful development of this type of Cargo.
In addition to experience selling project freight the perfect candidate will posses, and/or be in pursuit of, additional education specific to the industry; such as courses towards your CIFFA certification.
