Business Development Officer, iShares Latin America & Iberia, NRI recruitment

This is an opportunity to work with iShares: the world's most comprehensive family of exchange traded products with more than 400 exchange traded funds offered globally. We are seeking a high energy, self-motivated Business Development Officer (BDO) to build and grow client relationships within the Offshore iShares Channel.

The BDO will be responsible driving sales in California and Texas through financial intermediaries managing assets for UHNW/HNW clients in Latin America, and developing business with pension funds, mutual funds and Central Banks in Central America. This position will be based in San Francisco and report to the Head of Offshore Sales Latin America Iberia in Miami.

Responsibilities:

• Drive sales, executing a consultative approach within a defined geographic territory
• Serve as the central point of contact in selling Latam products internationally
• Develop and leverage key internal relationships across functional and regional Operations, Finance, Strategy and Product areas based out of San Francisco
• Responsible for meeting and exceeding sales goals
• High level of client interaction in one-on-one and group meetings
• Ability to present quantitative (analytical) and qualitative benefits of ETF investing, as well as the unique iShares value proposition
• Manage day-to-day operational duties (manage and track sales lead flow, manage and maintain CRM database, report weekly activities and accomplishments, etc.)

Qualifications:

• BA/BS graduate with master degree strongly preferred
• Series 7, 63 licenses are required within the first six months on the job
• 7-15 years of direct sales experience within the financial services industry
• Demonstrated ability in developing relationships within financial services industry.
• Ability to travel extensively on a consistent basis within territories
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Outstanding sales presentation skills
• High energy, motivated individual, with a commitment to excellence
• Proven ability to work in a team environment
• Language skills required: fluency in Spanish and English - Portuguese is a plus
• Position based in San Francisco
