Business Development Professional
Business Development Professional, Metals, Mainland China, WOFE, Physical, Derivatives, Futures Exchanges, Asia, Location: China, Shanghai.
We are working with a leading Singapore-based hedge fund whom is looking for a Business Development professional to develop its business interests in mainland China. The ideal candidate should have the below characteristics:
Responsibilities
• Proven experience managing standalone projects from start to finish - ideally in mainland China
• Commodities experience, particularly metals, preferred
• A background in business development for accessing Chinese futures exchanges
• Operating a WOFE (Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprise) onshore
• Participate in all relevant activities to ensure the WOFE is up and running smoothly. i.e. find commercial office, business licence, bank accounts etc.
• Negotiating commissions with Chinese futures brokers/bringing existing relationships in that space
• Experience in physical commodities arbitrage from the business development side. Ideally with exposure to metals (precious base).
• Ability to lead and manage the growth of the office.
• Establishing a strong network of customers and client throughout the region
Requirements
• At least 2-5 years experience working in Shanghai/Beijing/Shenzhen in financial markets
• Fast learner and adaptive, strong interpersonal skills
• Self-Starter, Go getter and willing to go the extra mile.
• Must speak English and Native Mandarin as you will be dealing with the Chinese markets
• Be willing to be based in Shanghai as the office will be launched here.
• Successful candidates will be highly competent and possess an entrepreneurial outlook.
• A strong degree level education is required.
