Business Development Strategist / Marketing&Communication Strategy Development for Asset Management Business – New York USA recruitment

This is a newly created role. In this position you will be responsible for delivering marketing direction and support to the firm’s Asset Management’s Americas Client Group, which comprises North America Institutional and Americas Mutual funds, which covers distributing offshore funds to offshore financial advisers based in the Americas and institutional investors in South America. You will work closely with sales, marketing and product specialist teams both in the NY and London offices.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Establishing marketing priorities on short, medium and long-term basis, you will act as the primary point of contact between the Marketing area and the Distribution area

• The development of tailored marketing plans for the Americas Client Group to meet those goals. These will comprise both strategic plans, covering for instance market entry and key partner development, and more tactical marketing campaigns supporting key focus funds and support for target institutional strategies

• Providing on-going sales ideas to support these campaigns and keeping the sales team updated on the impact of market developments

• Originating the material required to support these campaigns and assigning responsibility for its production

• Working closely with the rest of the Investment Channel Marketing team who to ensure consistency of message and maximise efficiency

• Working closely with the Creative Marketing, Marketing Communications and Digital Marketing teams for the delivery of these marketing campaigns

The successful candidate for this position will likely demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

• 8+ years relevant investment marketing experience in the Americas

• A demonstrable knowledge of and interest in investment markets and a good knowledge of the US/Americas market place.

• A sales savvy marketer who is results orientated and focused on asset gathering and revenue generation

• Creative and pro-active thinker with strong project management and campaign execution skills

• Credibility with senior management, the sales team and portfolio managers

• IMC preferable: CFA desirable
