Job Description

The Business Manager has core set of responsibilities which have the following focus

• Sole execution of, or collaboration with Finance Leadership team, on ad hoc financial analysis and budget management
• Lead on planning and reporting with business operating units and central Corporate Financial Planning Analysis Function
• Organizational Development

Specific responsibilities include

• Coordination and Communication in the planning process with the Finance Team and Business Operating Units
• Develop, harmonize and Enhance Periodic Reporting for Monthly Operating Results
• Lead on preparing all business reviews and reporting for Executive Management and Board Meetings
• Collaborate with Directors on managing project portfolio and related deliverables
• Collaborate with VP and Finance Directors supporting Operating Units on special projects
• Manage the operating budget for the administrative units of the Retirement Individual Financial Services business
• Assist with the education and staff development curriculum of the Retirement Individual Financial Services Finance Team
• Act a Deputy for VP Finance Retirement Individual Financial Services

Experience

8-10 years of experience in financial services industry. Degree in Finance or related field, MBA preferred.

• Lead senior financial analyst supporting an operating unit of a business, preferably a product or distribution unit
• Familiar with management reporting to senior leadership team
• Process and controls associated with data integrity
• Monthly financial closing process and related analysis of actual vs. budget
• Project management and reporting, including development of detailed project plans
• Familiar with wealth management and advisory process for individual investors and related financial products and services
