Business Financial Controller recruitment

We have a Business Financial Controller position available at our client; one of the world's largest and most prestigious investment banks. The Business Financial Controller will ensure timely, accurate, fully substantiated and compliant financial and management reporting of the Structured Credit business.

The business financial controller will have the following responsibilities:
- Daily and monthly PL and balance sheet reconciliation and substantiation of the general ledger
- Preparation of monthly IFRS accounts
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of balances passing to the general ledger
- Timely clearance of breaks
- Daily and monthly analytical review to provide meaningful business-informed commentary on the financials
- Assist with establishing and implementing correct accounting for all products - in particular implementation of IFRS9
- Effective communication with stakeholders and other support teams

The ideal business financial control will possess the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrable ability to work within a team framework
- Strong academic attainment
- Accounting Qualification
- Proven product control/business financial control experience from major investment bank within fixed income, credit and/or structured credit
- IFRS accounting knowledge
- Solid product knowledge (CLN, CDS, ABS, TRS and IRS)
- Working knowledge of IAS39 and IFRS7
- Demonstrated ability to implement change, particularly in improvement of controls and automation
