Our client is the modular flooring division of a worldwide leader in the design and production of high-quality, innovative modular floor coverings and widely recognised as an environmental pioneer.
They now have an opportunity available for a Business Improvement Co-ordinator to develop, plan and implement projects and improvement initiatives in order to improve the operational and environmental efficiency of European Operations and the UK locations in particular.
Within the role you will identify best practice WCM, Lean Manufacturing and 5S projects across the European business in order to write plans and to ensure the adoption of operational excellence by the production teams. Introducing systems and methodology training in order to support the implementation and successful progress of continuous improvement initiatives in conjunction with the Operations management team, you will keep in close contact with the Business Improvement Coordinator in the Netherlands in order to align activities and develop best practice.
You must keep an accurate record of the status of WCM, Lean Manufacturing, 5 S and IT projects in order to update the teams and provide management with updates on the progress of the plans; ensuring that the training records of operational staff are accurate and kept up to date to ensure compliance with our ISO 9001 accreditation.
Candidates should be educated to degree level standard or equivalent in a management or technical based discipline and will ideally hold NVQ level 4 in Business Improvement Techniques although this is not essential. With experience of Lean Manufacturing techniques including ‘5S’ and TPM, you will have the ability to operate as an Internal Consultant and to formulate and execute plans that improve the business.
