Business Instruction Training Manager / Underwriting, Case Management, Shared Services

Job Summary: Provides overall management to the business instruction function and provides leadership and direction to staff of professional instructors. Builds partnerships with business leaders in operational line management and external vendors. Acts as subject matter experts in business operational procedures, transactions, or applications used in home offices or sales offices. Manages medium to large-scale projects from inception with business partners to the final implementation Manages the process of assessing the effectiveness of instructional staff, materials, and programs to ensure business goals are met. Works closely with multi-site organization to review and coordinate training across the enterprise. Builds relationships with line management partners as well as key stakeholders to develop and implement strategic business solutions. Functional Responsibilities: Manages a staff responsible for various aspects of business instruction to enhance service quality, production volume, and to facilitate ease of doing business Partners with operational line management and key stakeholders, to review their training needs, and then prioritizes and allocates training resources accordingly. Ensures that instructors are trained in adult learning concepts, presentation skills, new instruction techniques, and technologies. Act as subject matter expert in overall training and implementation processes; resolves questions or issues escalated from staff members; may facilitate advanced or complex instructional sessions. Participates in cross-functional teams to ensure that training and instructional needs are addressed. Makes recommendations to business partners for systems enhancements, training needs, and overall process improvements. Ensures that the process for updating and maintaining full training calendar, procedures, databases, and print materials remains current. Has budgetary responsibilities. Performs other related duties as assigned or required. Supervisory Responsibilities: Full people management responsibilities, including performance management, compensation planning, staffing and training and development. Job Requirements Typical Experience: 7+ yrs. relevant business instruction experience and 5+ years managing people.
