Business Intelligence Analyst

The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst role is responsible for supporting the achievement of project deliverables that lead to the development of dashboards and management reports that measure key business performance metrics. The role includes but is not limited to the following activities:
- Senior Stakeholder engagement
- Analysing and understanding current state business performance
- Documenting business requirements specifically for BI
- Developing and delivering meaningful dashboards and management reporting
- Test and release of new BI solutions
- Presenting and training
- Implementation of and adherence to 'Best of Class' process, procedure and governance as delivered by the COE
- Working with team members of other competencies (Advanced Analytics, Business Analytics, Operations and Information Services) to ensure project deliverables are met
On project basis, the BI Analyst will work with all Competency teams (Advanced Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Services and Operations) to ensure that all BI Solutions managed by Analytics and Strategy is of the highest quality. This includes design, development and the management of change.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- 5 years experience demonstrating expertise within analytics, ideally across both banking industry and consulting
- Strong understanding of UX/data visualisation, reporting and data warehousing concepts
- SQL, QlikView, Tableau, SSRS, OBIEE experience
- Proven experience working on complex data analytics projects
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience
- Strong understanding of Data / Information Management, Process Understanding, Incident / problem management, Data Acquisition and transformation, Development and Testing methodologies, Test and Release methodologies, Change management methodologies
