Job Description

Equipped with effective communications skills, provide senior level expertise and leadership in managing the organisations data, business intelligence and reporting requirements, for business divisions and senior management. Work closely with your team and business stakeholders to develop collaborative working relationships to meet key business objectives.

Key deliverables include:

• Analysing existing business intelligence and reporting capabilities to identify opportunities for improvement
• Provide on the job training and guidance for team members to improve performance while providing appropriate feedback
• Ensure all team members are trained and adhere to organisational procedures to ensure a consistent outcome
• Assist team members with problem solving issues and escalate when required
• Provide technical advice and support to team members when required while reviewing and monitoring their performance to ensure processes and procedures are followed
• Provide input to your manager on strategies to align business intelligence and reporting processes
• Complete hands on operational duties as required to support high operational demand

The Successful Applicant

To be considered you must have demonstrated experience in a senior business intelligence and reporting role directly or indirectly leading staff, along with:

• Demonstrated knowledge of data warehousing design principles, data modelling concepts, ETL and SAP, Cognos integrated reporting environments
• Experience developing business aligned BI strategies and architectures
• Demonstrated experience working with business intelligence and reporting platforms in medium to large organisations
• Proven experience in using BI platforms and tools including SAP BW, Cognos, Business Objects and SQL Reporting Services.
• Advanced SQL and or PL-SQL report writing experience
• Experience establishing company standards for business intelligence and reporting
• Business Intelligence or reporting certifications in SAP BW/BI, Cognos, or other enterprise BI platforms

Ideally you would also have experience in SAP BW security and experience in data cleansing, consolidation and profiling
